NEW FREQUENCY
On 1 July 2005 the frequency changed to 93.6 FM, with an increased output of 100 watts, dramatically expanding the area of transmission and improving the saturation of the broadcasting area.
With the new frequency we are able to reach selected areas of Cape Town including the northern and southern suburbs. Other areas include Villiersdorp, Caledon, Hermanus, Gansbaai, Struisbaai and Bredasdorp.
WEBSITE & BROADCASTING VIA THE INTERNET
Radio Helderberg started broadcasting via audio-streaming on 28 March 2008, reaching many more listeners outside the Helderberg footprint: locally, nationally and internationally on www.radiohelderberg.co.za

237 out of a sample of 599 listen to Radio Helderberg. Based on these figures and an approximate population of 169 767 in our footprint area (Statistics South Africa Western Cape and the Demarcation Board), the listenership of Radio Helderberg amounts to 67 169 or 39.6% of the local population. These figures exclude the additional listeners outside the footprint area. RAMS (February 2010) show 42 000 regular listeners. |
